This year marks the 12th anniversary of the largest Persian parade around the globe. The Persian Parade is a non-political, non-religious cultural event celebrating the culture, traditions, and contributions Persians have made to the global community, and is dedicated to all Iranian and people of Persian descent across the globe.
The parade will have representation from many Persia's richly diverse and large religious and ethnic communities including Muslims, Christian/Armenian, Jews, Zoroastrians, Tajiks of Cental Asia cities (Bukhara, Samarkand, today country Tajikistan), Baha'is, Kurds, Baluchies, Turkish and people of Caspian region - just to name a few. All of these diverse groups will be participating in the Persian Parade. They will not promote their religious beliefs or political ideologies, but will celebrate their great Persian heritage. One of the main threads that bring our community together is the celebration of the Persian New Year "Nowruz", which literally means "new day" and coincides with the arrival of the first day of Spring.
