This tree is 35 million years old in the coastal regions of Persian Gulf in Iran.Its fruit is very sweet although it grows in salty water. in high tide or high water you can see the roots coming out of the water.the older they get, the less hollow their trunk become. The best time to see them is when the sea is at the highest level because very easily you can go through all of canals of this unbelievable forest and reach different parts of the forest by boat.the only animal in this forest is a kind of Rat come from India by ships carried goods when ships went to India and back.
